2. EXECUTIVE COMPANY OVERVIEW

AMAC Aerospace is a privately held Swiss aviation group headquartered in Basel that specializes in maintenance, repair and overhaul, VIP/VVIP aircraft completions and refurbishment, aircraft engineering and modification, continuing-airworthiness support and related business-aviation services. Its principal Swiss technical operation is associated with EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse, where AMAC maintains five hangars capable of supporting midsize business jets, narrow-body aircraft and large wide-body platforms. Its customer base includes private aircraft owners, corporate and VIP operators, government and head-of-state aircraft users, aircraft operators and other aviation organizations requiring maintenance, completion, engineering or operational support.

The organization has developed beyond its original Basel MRO and completion-center activity into a multi-company aviation group with operations or offices in Switzerland, Turkey, France, the United Kingdom, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. Group capabilities now extend into aircraft management and charter through AMAC Corporate Jet, aircraft sales, technical-records and material support through GAMIT, engineering and production through affiliated French operations, and maintenance facilities in Istanbul and Bodrum. AMAC reports more than 1,350 employees across the group, eight hangars and a combined operational footprint exceeding 100,000 square metres. These figures are company reported.

AMAC is particularly relevant to the upper end of the private-aviation maintenance and completion market because its approvals and physical infrastructure encompass conventional business jets as well as Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets and large VIP wide-body aircraft. Its published Basel maintenance ratings cover aircraft ranging from Pilatus and Gulfstream business jets through Bombardier Globals and Challengers to Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 families.

The group also combines technical services with aircraft management, charter coordination and selected aircraft-sales activity, providing a broader service model than that of a standalone maintenance provider.

23. INFORMATION LAST VERIFIED

Information Last Verified: September 4, 2026

Research Confidence: High

Important Data Gaps: Private ownership/shareholder structure; consolidated financial information; audited revenue; comprehensive customer/project totals; formal industry-association memberships; exact current owned and managed fleet composition; independently verified lifetime completion figures.

PrivateJetia Editorial Assessment: AMAC Aerospace is appropriately classified as a major multi-platform private and VIP aviation MRO, completion and engineering group rather than solely as a maintenance company. Its current capabilities span conventional business jets through ACJ/BBJ and large VIP wide-body aircraft, while affiliated operations add aircraft management, charter, sales, CAMO, material support and digital technical-record services. Its strongest directory association should remain Private Jet Maintenance Providers, with Aircraft Completion & Refurbishment as the most important secondary classification.
